We exist to see individual students filled with Christ and His Holy Spirit so much so that the reality of the full and explicit Gospel might overflow into an entire generation.
“The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” (John. 4:14b)
“God has given gifts to each of you from His great variety of Spiritual Gifts. Manage them well so that God’s generosity can flow through you.” (1 Peter 4:10)
“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.” (Psalm 23:5)
“The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.” (Luke 6:45)
- The overflow of Christ’s love and grace is the only eternal hope. Christ’s living water is the only hope that we have. We must understand that He does not just give us a drink of it, but He plants a well in our heart (called the Holy Spirit) that is meant to not only meet our eternal need, but also to flow out of us to meet the eternal need of those around us.(John 4:14b)
- The gifts, talents, and abilities God has given each of us are intended to show God to the world. Our primary purpose is to bring God glory. One way we are able to do that is by taking everything He has given us and using it to point everyone we see toward Him.(1 Peter 4:10)
- God doesn’t want to give us “just enough,” He wants to give us more than enough. God is a loving Father who desires to bless us with every good thing. Even in the midst of a world that seeks to victimize us, and an enemy that seeks to destroy us, God gives us access to His goodness in every area of our life. He desires for us to overflow that blessing into the people around us.(Psalm 23:5)
- When you are living in a true, vibrant relationship with Christ, it will come out of you, into the world around you. If Jesus has truly taken up residence in our heart, by His Holy Spirit, then His grace, love, joy, generosity, power, and authority will be what comes to surface in our life. As you receive more and more of an impartation (recognition) of the Holy Spirit, then you should overflow the character of Christ in your life.(Luke 6:45)
Overflow is intended for Middle and Highschool students, grades 6-12.
